Pfizer Hits Lupin With 2nd Suit Over Lyrica ANDA

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 3:03 PM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. has launched another patent infringement suit against generic-drug maker Lupin Ltd. over its efforts to manufacture a copycat version of nerve pain drug Lyrica.

The pharmaceutical giant claims that India-based Lupin’s attempt to make an oral solution with pregabalin as its active ingredient infringes three patents that cover Lyrica and its use, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
