Suits Seek $500M From Pelephone Over Customer Fees

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 1:06 PM EDT) -- Consumers have hit Israeli cell phone service provider Pelephone Communications Ltd. with two putative class actions, seeking $500 million in damages for allegedly improper fees.

Bezeq, Israel's largest telecommunications provider and the owner of Pelephone, disclosed the lawsuits in regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday and Sunday. Both suits were filed in Tel Aviv District Court, Bezeq said.
