Sirius Dodges Spansion's IP Suit Over Flash Chips

Law360, New York (October 11, 2010, 2:04 PM EDT) -- A judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission has declined Spansion Inc.'s request to add Sirius XM Radio Inc. and other companies to a patent infringement investigation over flash memory chips.

Spansion failed to show the good cause necessary to amend its initial Aug. 6 complaint to include Sirius, MiTAC Digital Corp. and MiTAC International Corp., Administrative Law Judge Robert K. Rogers Jr. ruled on Sept. 30 at the ITC.
