Law360, New York (October 11, 2010, 6:39 PM ET) -- Darden Restaurants Inc., owner of the Red Lobster and Olive Garden brands, has sued a TGI Friday's franchisee over its promotion for “never-ending shrimp,” which allegedly infringes the “never-ending pasta bowl” trademark.
Two Darden subsidiaries launched a suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, claiming that two subsidiaries of the Briad Group must stop promoting “never-ending shrimp” at their TGI Friday's restaurants in San Diego.
