Navy, SBA To Seek Sustainable Energy Contracts

Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 4:36 PM EDT) -- U.S. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and U.S. Small Business Administration head Karen Mills have agreed to join forces to extend contracting opportunities in sustainable energy to small businesses, in a move tailored to help wean the Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps off fossil fuels.

Secretary Mabus and Administrator Mills signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday, agreeing to steer sustainable energy programs, pilots and initiatives toward small contractors, according to a post penned by Mabus on the White House blog.
