GAO Denies Payback Of Waterfront Protest Costs

Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 2:34 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has rejected a request by Waterfront Technologies Inc. for reimbursement of attorneys’ fees and other costs the company racked up challenging the award of a $20 million contract with the U.S. Labor Department.

In a decision published Wednesday, the GAO argued that three Waterfront protests of a contract award for information technology services didn’t qualify for reimbursement because they were responded to on deadline and otherwise lacked merit as submitted.
