ITC Votes For Duties On Chinese Pipes, Iron Castings

Law360, New York (October 15, 2010, 7:02 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission voted Friday to accept steep duties on seamless steel pipes imported from China and to extend anti-dumping duties on iron ore construction castings from China, Brazil and Canada.

The two votes approving duties on the imports were spurred by government subsidies and other unfair trade practices by the exporting nations and were aimed at limiting material injury to domestic producers, the ITC said.
