Improper Forum Ruling Stands In Air France Crash Case

Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 7:17 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to revisit his decision to toss multidistrict litigation over the 2009 Societe Air France crash in the Atlantic Ocean that killed everyone aboard.

Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California denied the American descendent representatives' motion for reconsideration of his Oct. 4 order dismissing the action on forum non conveniens gounds, letting stand his original determination that the case should proceed in France instead of the U.S.
