GAO Urges DHS To Improve Oversight Of Contractors

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 6:39 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has not effectively managed contracted work that Boeing Co. has completed as part of a $4.4 billion border security project, according to a recent report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

The Secure Border Initiative Network is designed to create surveillance systems and provide U.S. Customs and Border Protection command centers with the information needed to detect breaches and make deployment decisions.
