Toyota Recalls 1.5M Cars Over Brakes, Fuel Pumps

Law360, New York (October 21, 2010, 11:59 AM EDT) -- Toyota Motor Corp. on Thursday agreed to voluntarily recall more than 1.5 million vehicles worldwide to examine possible brake and fuel pump defects, adding to the list of millions of other vehicles the company has recalled in the past year.

The automotive giant said it would recall about 740,000 vehicles in the United States; 599,000 cars in Japan; 140,000 in mainland Asia and Australia; and another 50,000 in Europe.
