Laserfiche Claims SAP Stole 'Run Smarter' Mark

Law360, New York (October 22, 2010, 2:38 PM ET) -- Document-management company Laserfiche has accused one of the world's largest business software makers, Germany's SAP AG, of outright stealing its “Run Smarter” trademark.

Laserfiche — the business name of Compulink Management Center Inc. — contends that rivals SAP, SAP America Inc. and SAP Global Marketing Inc. committed trademark infringement, false designation of origin, trademark dilution, false advertising, unfair competition and other violations, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the U. S. District Court for the Central District of California.
