Cisco, Sprint, Others Sued Over Modem Patent

Law360, New York (October 25, 2010, 1:31 PM EDT) -- Eon Corp. IP Holdings LLC has accused a number of technology companies, including Cisco Systems Inc., Clavister AB and SerComm Corp., of infringing a patent for wireless technology that allows mobile devices to access different communications networks.

The complaint, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claims the 16 defendants make and sell two-way communication networks and components that fall within the scope of the patent-in-suit, which is exclusively licensed to Eon.
