EPA Goes After Fertilizer Co. Over Its Waste Disposal

Law360, New York (October 25, 2010, 4:39 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has accused a Kansas agricultural fertilizer company of failing to conduct hazardous waste determinations in the wake of an accident that killed two workers.

Under a civil complaint and compliance order issued Friday, MagnaGro Corp. will be required to provide the EPA with an inventory of all drums, totes and other containers at its Lawrence, Kan.-based facility within 30 days.
