Humana Tries To Snuff Qui Tam Medicare Fraud Case

Law360, New York (October 25, 2010, 12:55 PM EDT) -- Humana Inc. is facing whistleblower allegations that its mail-order pharmacy RightSource fudged applications to become a Medicare prescription drug sponsor and overbilled the U.S. government millions of dollars for medications.

On Friday, Humana urged Judge H. Russel Holland of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona to throw out the lawsuit, claiming the False Claims Act allegations and related retaliation counts are far too vague and unsubstantiated to proceed.
