Labor Spending Set To Break Record In 2011

Law360, New York (October 25, 2010, 7:23 PM EDT) -- After bouncing back in 2010, the market for labor and employment legal work is expected to keep expanding in 2011, as worker complaints remain high post-recession and new regulations take effect, a new report on corporate legal spending says.

The $5.13 billion market for labor and employment work is projected to grow 2.9 percent in 2011, outpacing the 1.2 percent increase predicted in the overall legal market, according to the Premium Practices Forecast 2011, released Monday by The BTI Consulting Group Inc. (Wellesley, Mass.).
