Skadden Arps Secures Veteran Securities Lawyer

Law360, New York (March 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chicago lawyer Jerry Salzman this week joined Skadden, Arps, Meagher, Slate & Flom LLP, as the firm he co-founded 35 years ago prepares to close its doors.

Salzman, who also serves as outside counsel to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, said it was inevitable Freeman, Freeman & Salzman would wind down, with the firm’s remaining nine partners too old to keep working or too stubborn to bring in new talent.
