AnimalFeeds, Stolt-Nielsen Settle Antitrust Dispute

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 6:34 PM EDT) -- AnimalFeeds International Corp. has settled the would-be antitrust class action against Stolt-Nielsen SA that led the U.S. Supreme Court to rule that parties cannot be forced into classwide arbitration without their consent.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on Tuesday approved AnimalFeeds' voluntary dismissal of its claims, ending multidistrict litigation that accused Stolt-Nielsen and other shippers of a price-fixing conspiracy.
