Army Contracting Officer Cops To Taking Bribes

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 7:15 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Army major pled guilty Wednesday to accepting bribes from foreign companies in exchange for steering military contracts to the companies while working as a contracting officer in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait.

Roderick D. Sanchez, 45, of Pueblo, Colo., entered a guilty plea in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado to a one-count criminal information charging him with bribery for accepting money and items of value from two foreign nationals affiliated with companies seeking to secure Army contracts.
