SEC Subpoenas Tiger Asia Over HK Probe

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 4:26 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has reportedly targeted hedge fund Tiger Asia Management LLC in connection with alleged insider trading by securities regulators in Hong Kong.

According to an Oct. 12 letter to investors in the New York-based hedge fund obtained by Bloomberg, the SEC requested trading records and other documents. Tiger Asia said in the letter that it believed the subpoena was spurred by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission's actions against the fund.
