Galleon Insider Trading Informant Settles With SEC

Law360, New York (October 29, 2010, 1:23 PM EDT) -- A witness who cooperated in the government's insider trading investigation of Galleon Group co-founder Raj Rajaratnam has agreed to pay a total of $1.85 million to settle a related U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission suit.

The witness, Roomy Khan, agreed to pay $1.55 million in penalties and about $300,000 in interest to settle insider trading-related claims against her, according to a consent judgment filed on Thursday with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
