Samsung, University of NM Unit End 337 Patent Row

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 4:03 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has agreed to settle U.S. International Trade Commission allegations brought by a nonprofit group affiliated with the University of New Mexico that claims it infringed a patent covering lithographic methods used to manufacture semiconductors.

The joint motion between Samsung and complainant STC.UNM, lodged Tuesday in the ITC, leaves Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd., which did not object to the settlement, as the lone respondent.
