Icahn Dodges Disclosure On MGM, Lionsgate Plans

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 2:06 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.'s request to force investor Carl Icahn to immediately disclose a possible plan for merging the company with bankrupt Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.

Judge Harold Baer called Lionsgate's expedited discovery request "too little, too late" during a brief hearing Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, but he agreed to fast-track Icahn's response deadline and said he would consider revisiting the discovery issue.
