Fired LAPD Veteran Wins $4M Retaliation Verdict

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 4:18 PM EDT) -- A federal jury has handed a verdict of nearly $4 million to an 18-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department who claimed he was fired for testifying against the department in a Fair Labor Standards Act case.

Tuesday's $3.99 million award, reached in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, included past and future damages for plaintiff Richard Romney.
