ITC Takes Up 337 Probe Of Apple Wireless Devices

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 6:40 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission launched a probe Wednesday into Motorola Mobility Inc.'s allegations that Apple Inc.'s core products infringe six patents covering wireless and smartphone technologies.

The ITC voted to institute its investigation based on Motorola's Oct. 6 complaint alleging Apple violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing certain infringing wireless communication and data processing devices, the commission said in a statement.
