Exxon Faces $12M Wrongful Death Suit For Gas Leak

Law360, New York (November 4, 2010, 12:17 PM EDT) -- Exxon Mobil Corp. is facing a $12 million wrongful death suit from the widow of a worker who died while fixing a hydrogen sulfide leak at a Louisiana refinery owned and operated by the oil giant.

Exxon removed the suit to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Wednesday. Alison Starkey, the widow of Gregory Starkey, initially filed the suit Oct. 20 in the 34th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Bernard.
