HP, Fujifilm, Others Sued Over Memory Disc Patent

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 1:21 PM EDT) -- Optical Memory Storage LLC has accused a number of the world’s leading CD and DVD manufacturers — including Hewlett-Packard Co., Royal Philips Electronics NV and Fujifilm Holdings Corp. — of infringing a patent for optical disc technology.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claims the defendants have knowingly incorporated technology protected by an OMS-held patent for a data storage memory device.
