Japan Probes Insider Deals At Wal-Mart Unit Seiyu

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 5:16 PM EDT) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has admitted to cooperating with Japanese regulators probing potential insider trading during the run-up to the retailer's total acquisition of Japanese supermarket group Seiyu Ltd. in 2007.

A spokesman for the world's largest retailer said Friday that the company did not believe that any current Seiyu associates were involved in the suspected insider deals.
