Dunkin' Donuts Settles IP, Contract Row With Fla. Shops

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 3:08 PM EST) -- Several Miami-area Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchises have agreed to settle unfair competition, trademark infringement and breach of contract claims from Dunkin' Donuts Franchising LLC, which accused them of continuing to operate shops despite missed fee payments.

Judge James Lawrence King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Friday canceled a hearing on the plaintiffs' injunction motion, saying the parties had reached a settlement in principal.
