Integra Stops Fighting $11B Qwest-CenturyLink Merger

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 4:48 PM EST) -- Telecommunications carrier Integra Telecom Inc. agreed Monday to drop its opposition to a proposed $10.6 billion merger between Qwest Communications International Inc. and CenturyLink Inc. after it reached a deal that preserves connectivity agreements it made with Qwest.

Prior to the settlement filed with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, Integra had fought the proposed tie-up, worrying it would hurt its ability to compete and that it would sever network connection agreements with Qwest it spent a decade forging.
