Stanford Takes Speedy Trial Fight To 5th Circ.

Law360, New York (November 9, 2010, 3:14 PM EST) -- Texas financier Robert Allen Stanford, imprisoned since June 2009 for allegedly orchestrating an $8 billion Ponzi scheme, has signaled he will appeal a judge’s refusal to release him pending trial for alleged violations of the Speedy Trial Act.
