Cintas Ordered To Revise Handbook

Law360, New York (March 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Uniform manufacturer Cintas Corp. violated the National Labor Relations Act by indirectly prohibiting its employees from discussing wages or working conditions, a federal appeals court panel affirmed Friday.

In a 15-page opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington D.C. ruled that although Cintas never specifically ordered its employees not to talk about terms of employment, its handbook nevertheless could be construed as having that effect.
