Archer Western Loses Protest Over $14M Army Job

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 1:01 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a bid protest filed by Archer Western Contractors Ltd. over a nearly $14 million contract for work on a facility in Oklahoma for wounded soldiers to live, train and work together while they recover.

In a decision reached Oct. 1 and released Tuesday, the GAO denied Archer's challenge to the way the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers evaluated technical proposals from bidders, including a higher bid from The Sundt Cos. Inc. that ultimately won out.
