Phillips Oil Settles Assistant Manager OT Action

Law360, New York (November 11, 2010, 11:52 AM EST) -- A federal judge has approved a $450,000 settlement between Phillips Oil Inc. and a class of convenience store assistant managers who sued to collect overtime wages from their employer.

Judge M. Casey Rodgers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida deemed the settlement “fair and reasonable” in an order on Wednesday, dismissing the suit against Phillips Oil, which operates a chain of 70 Fill-Ups convenience stores in Florida and Alabama.
