GOP Won't Sink Obama Drilling Policy, Attys Say

Law360, New York (November 15, 2010, 5:36 PM EST) -- Despite Republicans' gearing up to take control of the U.S. House of Representatives in January, the Obama administration will continue to hold the cards when it comes to setting offshore drilling policy, experts say.

With moratoriums lifted and replaced by generally moderate safety requirements, the government has pacified concerns from Big Oil about costly and uncertain regulations — at least for now, said lawyers who spoke with Law360 on Monday.
