3 Convicted In Security Guard Co. Tax Conspiracy

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 4:45 PM EST) -- A jury has convicted a former security company owner, his wife and a business partner of bilking the U.S. for more than $5.7 million in a 23-year-old scheme to dodge employment taxes.

Jurors in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Thursday found John Heard, Janet Heard and Gary Lambert guilty on one count each of conspiracy to defraud the United States by failing to pay employment taxes for Superior Protection Inc. and numerous other security guard companies.
