Fed. Circ. Nixes LSI Bid To Revive Semiconductor IP

Law360, New York (November 17, 2010, 5:48 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has dismissed as moot LSI Corp.'s appeal of a U.S. International Trade Commission decision that a semiconductor patent was invalid in light of prior art, ruling that the patent-in-suit expired in July.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday granted a motion by the ITC to dismiss the appeal. It also vacated the commission's final determination and remanded the case for dismissal.
