Law360, New York (November 17, 2010, 6:40 PM ET) -- A former Koss Corp. executive who embezzled $34 million from the headphones manufacturer and spent the money on shopping sprees, Hawaii time-shares and home improvements was sentenced Wednesday to 11 years in prison.
Sujata “Sue” Sachdeva, whose thefts represented approximately 60% of the company's profits from 2004 to 2009, faced 15 to 20 years in prison for her crimes, but Judge Lynn Adelman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin found that mitigating factors warranted a lesser sentence.
