Ex-Madoff Workers Face Conspiracy, Fraud Charges

Law360, New York (November 18, 2010, 11:59 AM EST) -- Two longtime employees of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC were arrested Thursday and slapped with charges including conspiracy, securities fraud and falsifying records for their alleged roles in Madoff's massive Ponzi scheme.

The FBI arrested Annette Bongiorno, who spent 40 years as a Madoff employee, and Joann Crupi, who worked for Madoff for 25 years, at their homes.

Both Crupi, a Westfield, N.J., resident, and Bongiorno, whose home is in Boca Raton, Fla., were taken into custody without incident, the FBI said.
