Enviros Sue EPA In Bid To Block Wash. Power Plant

Law360, New York (November 18, 2010, 5:30 PM EST) -- The Sierra Club and other environmental groups have accused the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of violating the Clean Air Act by failing to respond to their objection to an operating permit for a coal-fired power plant in Washington state.

The National Parks Conservation Association, the Sierra Club and regional nonprofit the Northwest Environmental Defense Center — which serves as a watchdog over Washington's permitting processes — filed a citizen suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
