House Panel Shelves Debate On “Say And Pay” Bill

Law360, New York (March 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Due to gridlock on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, the House Financial Services Committee has been forced to postpone its discussion of a bill that seeks to give shareholders some say over executive compensation.

On Wednesday, the panel was forced to push back its markup of the so-called “say and pay” bill, which was scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
