ITC Takes Up 337 Investigation Of Toshiba TVs, DVRs

Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 3:22 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has opened an inquiry into televisions and digital video recorders made by Toshiba Corp. that Rovi Corp. alleges infringe three patents covering technology for programming guides and content blockers.

The ITC said Thursday it would look into imports of electronic devices that incorporate interactive program guides and technology for implementing parental controls in response to Rovi's Oct. 20 complaint.
