Mass. OKs National Grid Offshore Wind Contract

Law360, New York (November 23, 2010, 1:33 PM ET) -- Massachusetts’ utilities regulator has approved a 15-year contract allowing National Grid to purchase energy from the first offshore wind farm in the U.S, a major step forward for the controversial project.

 

The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities issued a 374-page order Monday approving National Grid’s proposal to purchase half of the energy generated from Cape Wind Associates LLC’s project.
