Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 3:10 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has opened an investigation into Taiwan's Qisda Corp., Qisda's BenQ Corp. unit and AU Optronics Corp. following patent holder Thomson Licensing SAS' filing of a complaint alleging infringement of three liquid crystal display device patents.
The commission said Wednesday it voted to take up the probe after Thomson, which has a U.S. subsidiary in New Jersey, filed suit on Oct. 25. The investigation will consider whether the respondents violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
