Ark. Man Seeks Airport Scanner Injunction

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 6:31 PM EST) -- An Arkansas man has filed a petition for temporary injunction against the U.S. Transportation and Safety Administration to keep the Little Rock Airport from using controversial full body scanners and pat-down searches.

 

The enhanced security screening techniques threaten to “act in a manner detrimental to (Robert Philip Dean’s) emotional, psychological and mental well-being,” and constitute a violation of the Fourth Amendment, Dean said in his petition filed Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
