Calif. High Court Passes On SF Weekly Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 6:01 PM EST) -- California's Supreme Court has refused to hear SF Weekly's challenge to its $21 million litigation loss to rival Bay Guardian Co., which sued the alternative newspaper after SF Weekly allegedly tried to run it out of business by using predatory pricing in its advertising.

The court indicated it would not hear SF Weekly's appeal in the case, according to a routine report on court activity Tuesday. An intermediate appeals court had previously declined to rehear the case after handing SF Weekly an unfavorable ruling.
