Air Force Officer Accused Of Procurement Scheme

Law360, New York (November 30, 2010, 2:11 PM EST) -- The U.S. government has accused a senior Air Force officer of participating in a scheme to steer lucrative government contracts for military services in Iraq to Global Procurement Inc.

On Monday, prosecutors filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, charging Master Sgt. Mark Carnes with conspiring to defraud the U.S. by helping Global Procurement pocket a $300,000 military contract.
