Green Groups Sue EPA Over Salmon Protections

Law360, New York (November 30, 2010, 5:50 PM EST) -- Defenders of Wildlife and other conservation and fishing groups have accused the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of failing to take measures to protect West Coast salmon and steelhead from pesticides.

The complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, claims the EPA has failed to designate no-spray buffer zones around streams to reduce pesticide levels, or take other measures to protect the fish.
