Senate Panel Gives Go-Ahead To GAO Nominee

Law360, New York (November 30, 2010, 6:30 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama's nominee to head the U.S. Government Accountability Office, Gene Dodaro, inched closer to securing confirmation of the post Tuesday, with a U.S. Senate panel throwing its full support behind his nomination.

The ten members of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs approved Gene Dodaro's appointment to the full 15-year term by a unanimous voice vote, paving the way for his nomination to be approved by the full Senate.
