ITC Upholds Duties On Chinese Wooden Furniture

Law360, New York (December 1, 2010, 2:25 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has decided to maintain a 7.4 percent anti-dumping duty on most producers of wooden bedroom furniture from China in a move it says is designed to protect domestic producers.

On Tuesday, the agency reported a unanimous 6-0 vote that supported claims made by industry groups such as the American Furniture Manufacturers Committee for Legal Trade, which argued that extinguishing the duties could drive domestic companies out of business.
