Judge Prevents Auto Makers From Concealing Data

Law360, New York (March 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has resisted an attempt by auto makers to protect their trade secrets in an upcoming landmark trial that will test states’ efforts to limit carbon dioxide emissions from cars.

Judge William Sessions III has denied the auto makers’ motion to seal 121 exhibits in the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont, and ordered them to make a separate filing for each item they wanted to keep confidential.
